Cash Show UK App begins paying out – I got paid

Just a quick one today, I posted about Cash Show UK recently and how I had started to win money with the app and withdrew just under £40.

To be honest I didn’t think I would ever see the money, there were lots of other reviews saying how people hadn’t been paid yet like this one.

An unhappy user

I was waiting in hope for the money to hit my Paypal and this morning i find it has!

Zenjoy sent me money

If it didn’t have the note about CashShow I would have been scratching my head about where the cash had come from but now I know I’m over the moon and am going to try and get this balance up over the next few weeks.

If you haven’t downloaded it use my code for an extra life and I will get one too, I could do with one! VMYBGB is my code.

Quizzing for cash with UK App – Cash Show

Having well and truly caught the quiz app bug with HQ Trivia I found a very similar App called Cash Show.

CashShowPlayStore
This isn’t quite as popular as HQ Trivia at the moment and that is a good thing because less users means bigger prizes for me; and potentially you!

It’s pretty much a carbon copy of HQ; answer 12 questions and win a share of the prize pot. The big difference being you win a share of the pot with every question you get right after question six, so even if you don’t get all the way to the end you can still bag cash.

There’s a grand up for grabs each show and with shows at 12pm and 9pm there’s two chances every day.

The very first show I played I actually got to the end and won just over £5. I was of course delighted and tried to withdraw my cash but the minimum cash out is £10. I would have to win again!
The questions seem quite a lot easier than HQ and perhaps that is to create a buzz and get more people playing but I don’t care if it puts money in my pocket.
CashShowFinalQuestion
I managed to get to the final question with the use of an Extra life (use code VMYBGB for an extra life) and the question was one I knew. In true Slumdog Millionaire style I knew the answer to the question: “The Brownie was an early example of what device” to be a camera having owned and sold several in my time. I bagged £34.35 along with 20 others that draw and withdrew my £39.89 to my paypal account.

Payment. At the time of writing my money is still “In review” which I hope means that it will be paid soon, but if you were to check out the Play Store reviews there are a lot of negative reviews saying that people haven’t been paid yet. Hopefully they are all just impatient. I hold onto the hope that I will receive my payment and if not I had fun “earning” the money!

If you want to play you can download Cash Show from the play store and if you use my referral code of VMYBGB we will both get an extra life. If you link your account to Facebook you can get five “Wrong Gones” which is basically a 50:50 removal of one wrong answer.

For extra chances of winning if you play with a friend you can use wrong gones on separate questions and share the knowledge!

Let me know if you sign up and we will be on each others “Friends List” and can see each others progress!

The day I won HQ Trivia

I’ve been playing HQ Trivia since late January 2018 and I am thoroughly enjoying it. It’s a seamless mix of game show and pub quiz that you can experience wherever you are. It allows the clever (or just plain lucky) an extreme feeling of self-righteousness when you get questions right that so many others get wrong.
HQTriviaLogo
If you read my latest post about HQ Trivia you will know that I got the quiz bug bad and vowed to not stop playing until I won. The premise if you haven’t heard is simple, answer 12 questions and win a share of the jackpot.

There are 2 shows each day in the UK at 3pm and 9pm; but if you log in at 3pm and 9pm EST (8pm and 2am) you can play along with the North American shows too. This adds up to four chances a day to win real money. There’s no minimum withdrawal limit so as soon as you have won you can withdraw your cash.

Today is the day

Every draw I open the app thinking that today will be the day and I can consistently get to questions 9 and 10 before they start throwing the real curve ball questions.

The 6th February 2018 was different though and I could feel it. The first three questions were easy and I breezed through. Then disaster struck; the app crashed and the host had to call time on the show halting the quiz. 45 minutes later it restarted with the same three questions, any of those who somehow managed to get the first three questions wrong got a reprieve and we played again. There were a few questions I didn’t know the answers to but by a process of elimination managed to get right.

I had no extra lives (if you’d like to help sign up with the promo code “sayzey”) and knew that a wrong answer would dump me out of the quiz. I made it to question 12, the money question, and I knew the answer! It was about Robert Lopez the writer of the Frozen song Let it go and which broadway show he won his Tony award for to complete his EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony). I knew the answer was Avenue Q.

I was elated and did a little dance around the front room to the despair of my partner who was knocked out earlier in the quiz. The trouble was over 9,000 other people also got the question right meaning that I shared the jackpot of $2,500 with 9046 other winners. I won just $0.28 which converts to about 20p.

I still won! And I can cash it out!

How you can make a fiver with a circle

Here’s an easy fiver for you and a friend, its not too taxing and if you have a mate to help you all the better. The effort/time/reward chart below shows that it’s really easy to do, it doesn’t take long and the payoff is decent.  Each category is out of 5.

Effort Meter, little effort, little time, ok reward

Summary

In order to earn your fiver you will need to download a payment processing app, add your card as a payment option and spend £25.  There are loopholes to make this easier though and I do love a loophole.  I encourage you to send a friend these instructions and go through them together, you will see why in a moment.

Circle Pay – Send Money For Free

The app in question is called Circle Pay, it’s a sort of cross between Paypal and text messaging and I have been using it since the end of 2017 with great success.  I am a fan and I use it myself the benefits are that there are no fees.  You can send and receive money without paying any fees so if you want to accept a payment for an ebay item you can dodge the Paypal fee of 3.4% + 20p (or however much it is these days).

Security

This isn’t a two-bob app, it’s very well made and it doesn’t at all feel cheap.  You can be sure that they will look after your money as Circle are as secure as a bank. They are supervised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority, so they’re not going to do a runner with your cash; on the contrary they are going to be giving us money!

How to earn £5

fivepounds

Step 1 – Download the app

First of all download the Circle App from the App Store or Google play.  It’s called “Circle Pay – Send Money for Free” and the logo is a green/blue/purple concentric circles.

You can also use my link here – https://www.circle.com/invite/U7KUQE

Step 2 – Sign up and enter your details.

The process is very straight forward, step 3 is very important.

Step 3 – Add promo code

If you used the link above you can probably skip this step.  If you went straight to the App Store or Google Play during the Sign up phase you will be asked for a promo code. You will need to add my code here to get the Sign up bonus.  If you don’t you wont get the bonus. My code is U7KUQE
If you’re not asked for it during sign up you can enter it in the “Promo Codes” section of the app afterwards.

Step 4 – Add card details

Once signed up and the promo code is entered you will need to add a card to pay from, once again this is totally secure and all of your details are encrypted to keep them safe from hackers.

Step 5 – Add £25

Once you’ve linked your card you can add money to your account. You’ll need to send at least £25 using the app to get the £5 bonus so I suggest depositing £25 to your Circle account.  Then comes the clever bit…

Step 6 – Pay

You need to send £25 on anything, you can pay anyone and as long as you have added your card details as soon as you have hit send, just like magic £5 will appear in your account.  So what I would suggest is to have your partner, best friend or whoever follow these steps at the same time as you.  Only instead of them depositing £25 they can just send the £25 that you have just send them back to you and bingo they will have £5 in their account too!

If you are stuck for someone to send your £25 to you can always send it to me and I will ping it straight back to you.  I realise this may seem risky sending £25 to a stranger but the offer is there, by signing up using my link my name should be in your contacts.

Step 7 – Enjoy your £5

It’s easy to withdraw back to your account and you can treat yourself to something cheap or save it for a rainy day it all adds up!

Step 8 – Extra bonus

There is a way to squeeze at least an extra 50p out of this app although it could be as much as £50 and your student debt wiped out!  That’s a story for another post though.  Get your £5 first and then head over to guaranteed prize money for everyone.

Full disclosure – This is a referral bonus so when you get £5, I also get £5 so if you have followed these steps thank you very much, you have just paid for my three year old to have his hair cut.
